“Lightyears from anything. Except each other.”
To launch the 12th series of the much-loved comedy Red Dwarf we decided to focus on what makes the series great – the characters. Structuring the campaign around their distinct four personalities, and the dynamic between them, our creative was peppered with Easter Eggs from the show’s history for fans to enjoy. At the same time we consciously worked to give the campaign scale with trailer-style on-air assets and premium looking off-air static media. A phased promo campaign, including a stripped-back Hollywood-style reworking of the classic theme tune and movie-trailer launch spot, was supplemented off-air by London and National Rail ad activity, lenticular D6s and a placement at the UK’s biggest billboard site, the Clapham Colossus.
